Twitter on Tuesday linked to LinkedIn, letting people share updates and tweets between the popular micro-blogging service and the career-focused online social networking Web site, the AFP reported.

“The idea is simple: When you set your status on LinkedIn you can now tweet it as well, amplifying it to your followers and real-time search services like Twitter Search and Bing. And when you tweet, you can send that message to your LinkedIn connections as well, from any Twitter service or tool,” LinkedIn co-founder Allen Blue wrote in a blog post.

“And when you tweet, you can send that message to your LinkedIn connections as well, from any Twitter service or tool.”

Twitter co-founder Biz Stone said the partnership is like “bringing peanut butter and the chocolate together to make the perfect combination”.The deal hints at Twitter’s future business strategy, especially with more companies discovering how social networking is evolving into an important communications link for employees and customers.

Twitter synchronization features will roll out during the next several days, according to LinkedIn co-founder Allen Blue.

Brands must take social media such as Twitter into account .People have always interacted with brands, and brands have always been social. But since social media turned this world into a publishing society, brands have found themselves in a new situation.

In the age of social media, Brands can fail to communicate, vanish or produce an outcry which can affect their business badly.

Social Media are a challenge for brands, and they have to be taken into account. The brand of today faces much more interaction. Depending which way you look at it, social media either forces or enables brands to develop new ways of communication with their customers.

Soon, however, the list of people followed becomes so enormous it’s nearly impossible to sort through all the blurbs.

In comes the solution,Twitter has just rolled out its new Lists Feature to a huge portion of its user base right now. The feature allows you to group users you follow together and then lets you share those for others to also follow.

Twitter Lists does precisely what its name implies: allows users to organize people into manageable lists and even broadcast these groups to friends.
Twitter Lists is still not available to everyone. If your account is enabled to use Lists, you should see a massive banner advertising the service. The Lists feature will appear beneath your bio on the right-hand corner of the Twitter homepage. From there you can create a list, mark it as public or private, and scope out other user’s lists.

Twitter Lists marks a step forward for the company in the realm of social networking.
